Wedding Fair ~ Sunday 19th February 2012

Our application for a Wedding Licence has now been granted. We have 5 ground floor rooms and 2 bedrooms available for ceremonies.

In February we are holding our first Wedding Fair which will showcase the Hotel alongside a host of wedding suppliers. Entry to the fair is gratis for visitors.

70's Night  ~ Saturday 28th January 2012

Once again we invite you to a great evening with a 2 course dinner followed by the vocal talents of the Abba Tribute duo Chickitita presenting us with your favourite songs from ABBA’s repertoire. Plus Mike Collins will ensure non-stop entertainment from the 70’s until 1a.m. 70’s or Abba dressing up appreciated!

The proof of the pudding is in the eating! 
A  tried and tested recipe from our very own kitchen

5oz Sultanas
7oz Raisins
3oz Currants
1.5 oz Mixed Peel
2oz Glace Cherries
Soak the above ingredients for 7 days in 1 cup of sherry & 3/4 cup brandy

2.5 oz Plain Flour
1/2 tsp Mixed Spice
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
pinch grated Nutmeg
3.5 oz breadcrumbs
4 oz Brown Sugar
1.5 oz Butter

Mix the above together then add 1.5 oz vegetable suet

Zest & juice 1 lemon and add to the above mixture with 1 grated apple.
Add the soaked fruit then add 2 beaten eggs followed by 3/4 fl. oz of milk and 1/4 pt stout and mix well.

Place in 3 pt pudding basin and steam for 7-8 hours, serve
